About our ceramics

Are all pieces truly handmade?

Yes — every item in our collection is shaped, glazed, and finished by hand by one of our artisans. Because of this, slight variations in size, colour, and surface texture are natural and expected. These are features, not flaws.

What type of clay and glaze do you use?

We use high-fired stoneware clay sourced from Java. Our glazes are lead-free and food-safe. Many are formulated in-house using natural mineral pigments, wood ash, and iron oxides.

Are your ceramics food and drink safe?

All functional items (bowls, plates, cups, and mugs) are food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Decorative pieces may use special finishes not intended for food contact — this will be noted clearly in the product description.

Do you offer custom or personalised pieces?

We offer a limited custom-order service for bulk purchases (minimum 10 pieces). Please contact us via our contact page to discuss requirements, timeline, and pricing.

Placing an order

How do I place an order?

Browse our shop, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. We accept major credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and select digital wallets.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

You may modify or cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it. After that, your order will have entered production or packing and changes cannot be guaranteed. Contact us immediately at contact@ceritaceramic.com.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes. Select the gift-wrap option at checkout for an additional fee. We use recycled kraft paper and natural twine — no plastic packaging.

Delivery questions

How long does delivery take?

Domestic standard shipping takes 3–5 business days. Express shipping delivers in 1–2 business days. Same-day delivery is available in Jakarta. International orders take 10–20 business days for standard and 5–8 days for express.

How are fragile ceramics packaged for shipping?

Each piece is wrapped individually in bubble wrap and kraft paper, then packed in a double-walled cardboard box with foam inserts. We take great care to ensure your order arrives safely.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight.

How should I clean my ceramics?

Most pieces are dishwasher-safe on a gentle cycle. However, hand washing with mild soap and warm water will extend the life of the glaze and keep colours vibrant. Avoid abrasive sponges.

Can I use ceramics in the microwave?

Functional stoneware pieces are generally microwave-safe. Pieces with metallic glaze accents should not be microwaved. Check the individual product description for specific guidance.
